Now, your second lesson is about platforms. What is a platform, and which one should you choose to start your blogging?

First, let's understand what a platform is. A platform is a software, and if I explain it in technical terms, it's called a CMS (Content Management System). To explain it in simple language, a platform is a system that allows you to publish your articles online.

For example, website is a platform where I've published this article, and you are read it. Similarly, a blog is where you create your blog, write posts or articles, publish them, and where people comment and you reply to those comments. All the activities happening on that system are what we call a platform, which can also be called software.

How many types of platforms are there, and which one is good for you? I'm going to tell you. To learn blogging, you need to know how to use a platform properly. In this course, I will tell you about the Blogger platform, which is a beginner-friendly platform. You can easily create a blog there, publish your articles, and also publish images and videos. There are many other things you can do on the Blogger platform.

To understand the platform in a simpler way, consider this: when you visit a website, people view the content and leave comments. This is the work of a platform: to deliver content to users. The content means your article, post, or video that you write or publish on your blog.

So, a platform is a tool that delivers your content to the readers. Now, let's talk about which platform is best for beginners. By now, you must have a good understanding of what a platform is. Blogging is not just about writing; it's also important to learn the platform to manage your blog and stay engaged with your audience.

Let’s begin. When choosing a platform, there are two main things to keep in mind: your budget and your blogging needs. If you're a beginner and don’t have a budget, then Blogger is the best option for you.

With Blogger.com, you get a free subdomain (like yourname.blogspot.com) and free templates. You can easily design your blog and publish articles.

However, the templates here are not as advanced, and the work you need to do, you have to do manually. If you have a budget and want better customization, then WordPress will be a better choice for you. With WordPress, you can do 100% customization.

If you are a beginner and just starting to learn blogging, I would recommend using Blogger. It allows you to start blogging without any investment. Once you understand blogging well, you can migrate to WordPress.

WordPress.

If you feel the need for more customization and advanced features, for WordPress, you will need hosting, where you can use your own domain. For hosting, you can use Hostinger, where you’ll get good speed and support. If you want to buy hosting, the link is in the description. You can join through my referral link and get up to 60% discount.

Now, in the series I started, I will help you build a website and make you a successful blogger on Blogger.com because the majority of our audience doesn't have the investment to start on WordPress, and they will start on Blogger. So, we will focus on Blogger.com for this reason.

If you want to start on WordPress but don’t have the budget, you can buy hosting in partnership with two or three friends. Hosting allows you to attach up to 100 websites, so you can share your hosting.

If you want to go for WordPress, that’s fine. But if you’re new to this field, Blogger is the best option for you.
