Alright let's get started. First of all, open up your Blogger platform. This is true for users using either Blogger or WordPress, because by the end, I'll also outline to users on WordPress how their article could get indexed in as soon as 24 hours.

Step 1: Find Your Robots.txt File

Go and search for "robots.txt". Using the Blogger dashboard you'll come across something like this:

Ensure that the user agent Media Partner Google is allowed, and there should not be an empty Disallow directive. If the Disallow directive is empty it could prevent your articles or website from being indexed.

Step 2: Update Custom Robots Header Tags

Navigate to the Settings section in Blogger and scroll down to find the option for enabling

Custom Robots Header Tags.

Confirm if settings are the following:

  • For Homepage, All and No DP.
  • For Search Pages, No Index and No DP.
  • For Post and Page Tags, All and No DP.

Step 3: Know Your URL

Copy the URL of the article not being indexed. Go to Google Search Console and paste your URL in the inspection tool.  Once you click on Analyze, if there are no errors it will display that this page is eligible for index.

If you have?m=1 at the ending of your URL, do correct it because this would also block indexing.

Step 4: Troubleshooting Redirect Issues

To find redirect issues:

  • 1. Open your article and right-click to inspect the page.
  • 2. Go to the Network tab and press F5 to reload the page.
  • 3. If you get a 302 redirect error instead of a 200 status it means something is wrong.

Redirect paths can be tracked with browser extensions too.

Step 5: Add Updated Code

Scroll down your Blogger settings and add the new code here in this Article Click here  to remove the pointless redirects like?m=1. This code will make your articles look professional and get them indexed correctly.  If you are using old third-party codes or outdated themes then replace them with clean versions to avoid any kind of indexing issues.

Pro Tip: Do not Use Unauthorized Themes

Never download themes from other third parties that are unverified. Some of them will contain malware or vulnerability. Always stick to professional themes to avoid unwanted articles and viruses in your website.

So, this is how your indexing problem will be solved. Just drop a comment below and I will help you out further. Just keep watching till the end for more tips!
