How to buy a domain name in 5 steps - GoDaddy Resources

Assalam Alaikum Friends. This is going to be the third article of our course where we will discuss how to buy a domain for your website.

Now let is get started. To buy a domain we will use GoDaddy platform. First open the GoDaddy website. You can simply search for GoDaddy in your browser and the official website will appear. Click on the link to redirect to their homepage.

Step 1: Create an Account

Once the website opens click on the Sign In button.

Under the sign-in options you will see New Customer? Create an Account. Click on it.

How to connect a custom domain

You will be redirected to the account creation page where you can create your account using three methods:

• Continue with Google
• Continue with Facebook
• Use email address and password manually to create an account.
• Fill in the required details and click on Create Account.

After creating your account it may ask you to verify your email. Click on Send Verification Code and check your email for the code. Copy the given code paste it into the verification box and click Verify Code. verified your account will be successfully created.

Step 2: Search and Select a Domain

After creating the account search for the domain you want to buy. For example if you are interest to purchase “manzarrehman.com,” type it into the search bar and check its availability.

If the domain is available click Make It Yours and then click on Keep Going.

You will be redirected to the next page where you can select the duration for which you want to purchase the domain (e.g., 1 year, 2 years, etc.). Select your preferred duration.

Step 3: Apply Promo Codes (Optional)

If you have any promo codes you can apply them here to avail discounts.

Step 4: Add Additional Options (Optional)

GoDaddy may offer additional services like professional email accounts. If you want a business email you can add it here.

Step 5: Payment Process

Once you are ready to make the payment, click on I am Ready to Pay.

If this is your first time you will need to fill in your billing details including:

1. First Name
2. Last Name
3. Email Address
4. Street Address
5. Tax ID (if applicable).

After entering your details, proceed to the payment section.

You can use a Visa or MasterCard to complete the payment. Enter the following details:

• Card Number
• Expiry Date
• CVV Code
• Finally click on Complete Purchase and your domain will be successfully registered.
