4 Ways to Increase Website Traffic for Free

 In this article, I'm going to show you the four ways to get free traffic to your website.

This is especially useful if you are just starting out in online marketing or you just built a website and you're looking for more budget-friendly ways or free ways to get traffic to your website.

These are some of the sources that I used myself over the past seven years to generate a six-figure income that allows me to travel the world, and so I want to share some of these sources with you so that you too can make money online and get free traffic.

Make sure you guys stay through to the end of the video because all of these sources are equally important. The fifth way to get traffic that I'm going to mention is just as important as the first.

Social Media

The first way to get free traffic to your site is with social media. That means Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter any of these platforms or other social media platforms that you can think of are great ways to get free traffic to your website.

Now, I by no means like social media. I am not a social media expert, and yet I'm getting a lot of traffic to my website or my YouTube channel via these sources, even though I'm not an expert and I barely put in any effort into them.

For example, if you look at my TikTok page where I posted some of my videos and a few shorts from my YouTube channel, some of the clips on my TikTok are getting hundreds of views, and that's without me doing any marketing or anything at all.

I just recorded some clips and put them up. Some of the clips are just of me singing a song or showing a little bit of my apartment, and they get hundreds of views just like that from people that aren't even following me—just through the TikTok algorithm.

So it's as simple as that. Especially if you're starting out, the best time to start is now.

On my Facebook page, a few hundred clicks are coming to my website as well. Again, you don't have to be an expert—just post a few posts every day or every few days. Something is better than nothing, right?

So just put in a little effort. Fifteen to twenty minutes a day is all you need to get started—the more, the better, of course.

Instagram is another great social media tool you can use. When I was giving presentations in Colombia on how to make money online, I used Instagram to get a lot of people to attend my presentations.

I would use my personal Instagram profile to post stories and posts about the presentation, and I got a lot of people—who weren’t following me and whom I wasn’t following—to see those posts and stories simply because of the Instagram algorithm.

So these are amazing ways that you can utilize to get free traffic to your website.

What you can do is put the link to your site in the comment section or in the description of any of these pieces of content that you put out, and you can expect to get some clicks.

Granted, you probably won't get thousands of clicks the first day, but this is a process. Every thousand-mile journey begins with a single step, so start somewhere and start right now.

Forums

Forums are another great way to get free traffic. Some of the most popular ones you can probably think of are Quora and Reddit.

However, there are several others you can find if you just type in Google "popular forums" or "popular forums in your specific niche."

For example, if you go on Quora, you can type in some of the more popular questions related to your niche and respond. Give a good answer, include some pictures, include a good description, include bullet points, and, of course, include a link to your website.

Now, if you're an affiliate, do not take people straight to the affiliate offer—do not do that. You have to have your own website, YouTube channel, or some kind of content hub before you promote on Quora.

The same goes for Reddit. Look up some questions, take 15-20 minutes out of your day, and just go in and answer questions. Give thorough replies, show value to people, and you're bound to see results.

Some of my replies on Quora, for example, have gotten over a thousand views, and these were answers that I put in without really too much thought. I didn’t even think of linking them back to my website—I just replied for the sake of answering.

However, you can use this to your advantage by adding a link to your website or YouTube channel with a well-thought-out answer, and you can get free traffic that way.

Content Marketing

Having your own website, YouTube channel, or podcast is another great way to drive traffic.

You might think that starting a YouTube channel is very difficult, and it might be for those who are camera shy, but you don’t need a camera or professional equipment right off the bat. You can start small.

When I first started seven years ago, my videos were poor quality, but I did it because I liked it. I enjoyed sharing information. Over time, I improved.

I actually started with a 100-day YouTube challenge, posting one video daily for 120 days to get into the habit. After four months, I started enjoying it, and now I have almost 100,000 subscribers and over 5 million views.

That’s a lot of views that you can funnel to your website. If you prefer, you can also start a podcast—you don’t even have to show your face; you just have to speak.

Guest Blogging or Guest Podcasting

If you don’t want to create your own website, channel, or podcast, you can do guest blogging or guest podcasting.

How to Make $100–$300 a Day

This is where you reach out to bloggers or podcasters in your niche and offer them high-quality content that they might find valuable.

This is especially useful if you are already following some bloggers or podcasters and understand their content style.

You can reach out and say, "Hey, I love your content. I think you could benefit from this piece I’ve written. Would you be interested in discussing it further?"

Many bloggers appreciate this because it gives them fresh content while providing you with a backlink to your site.

If you don’t know any bloggers, just Google topics in your niche, find relevant blogs, and contact them with your content proposal.

Similarly, if you want to be a guest on a podcast, there are websites where you can sign up, and they will match you with relevant podcast hosts looking for guests.
